From lost to
deeply rooted

ROOTS. CONNECTION. EMPOWERMENT
Reclaiming your empowered self
Hi, I am Tugba.
I’m a Transformational Facilitator and Coach with a deep passion for supporting people in reconnecting with their authentic selves, uncovering their unique gifts, and embracing the resilience and purpose that lie within.
My journey began in a small village in Turkey and has taken me across the globe, working in the humanitarian sector both in the UK and abroad. I’ve had the privilege of addressing issues such as women’s empowerment, youth leadership, and community resilience. Through these experiences, I’ve discovered a universal truth: while our external circumstances may vary, there’s often a shared inner longing—to find deeper meaning and connection, overcome challenges, and contribute to a better world.
A pivotal moment in my own journey came when I joined The Journey programme at Embercombe. It was here that I realized a profound gap in my life—a lack of connection to the natural world. That experience changed everything for me. At Embercombe, I’ve been able to weave together my passion for serving others with a deep love and reverence for the Earth.
In addition to offering 1:1 coaching sessions, I design and lead transformative programmes that guide participants on a journey of inner exploration and outward action. These programmes integrate coaching, embodiment practices, breathwork, and connection to nature to inspire profound shifts.
For me, this work is not just about personal transformation—though that is a radical and meaningful act in itself. It’s about how we take that inner work and use it to create meaningful change in our communities and the wider world. I’m excited to connect with you and explore how we can tap into this wisdom to inspire and guide your journey into wholeness.
The quest
for purpose
Living with purpose and service is about aligning with what we most deeply love and finding the courage to act in ways that contribute to the well-being of others and the world around us. For me, this starts with self-awareness—learning to connect with our authentic selves, heal, and embrace our unique gifts. When we cultivate resilience, listen to our inner wisdom, and honour our connection to nature and community, we can step into a life of authenticity and fulfillment.
It’s about embracing the beauty of your uniqueness, the vastness of your potential, and the richness of your experiences, knowing these are what empower you to live with meaning and contribute to a flourishing world.
MY MISSION
For you to reignite your power
If you are:
Feeling lost, disconnected, or uncertain about your purpose, yearning for deeper meaning in your life.
Struggling with decision-making, unsure of how to align choices with your authentic self.
Habitually putting others' needs before your own, finding it challenging to set boundaries or say no.
Doubting your own strength and potential, not fully trusting in your ability to create a life that reflects your true desires.
You are in the right place. Together, we’ll uncover your inner power, realign your path, and help you create a life that reflects your true self.

HAVE A PEEK INTO MY WORLD
My journey and the path I walk
I’m sitting outside my cabin on the shore of the lake we call Tree Mirror. Another summer. The soft animal of my body is enjoying the warmth of the sun. Beautiful things are happening. A heron is standing in the middle of the lake. Babies of different species are being born. This lake, which is a mirror to the trees that lean over it, has taken its name from their reflections. This lake is also a mirror to me, and I ask myself: what can I do to make this life count?
From an early age, I’ve felt a strong calling to help others. My journey has taken me through diverse experiences—working in the humanitarian sector, teaching embodiment in different countries, and now guiding others as a coach, facilitator, and embodiment & breathwork practitioner.
My work is rooted in the knowing that true transformation happens when we connect deeply with ourselves, others, and the world around us. Mindfulness, embodiment, and the wisdom of nature have all been instrumental in my own journey. Like a tree, we can stay grounded in who we are, adapt to life’s changes, and continue to grow. I come from Sogut, a town named after the weeping willow tree, and I carry its symbolism with me. It’s about swaying with the winds of life, trusting the unfolding process, and learning to move with grace. Over time, I’ve learned to trust my intuition and allow life to unfold naturally. This trust has been key to my personal growth and the work I do now.
I was born in a small village in western Turkey, where my arrival as another daughter brought feelings of disappointment rather than celebration. Growing up, life felt predictable, and I didn’t question it—until the whispers inside me began to grow louder. These quiet calls led me to a journey of self-discovery and transformation, eventually bringing me to Embercombe, a welcoming valley at the edge of Dartmoor. There, I found the space to reconnect with my true self and embrace the path I was meant to walk.
“The thing that breaks your heart is the very thing you were born to heal,” says Glennon Doyle. I recognise this in myself. Growing up as a woman in a society that made me feel less than, I have always felt a deep passion for giving a voice to the unheard and marginalised—those whose power has been stripped away. The women, the endangered species, the lone tree... these are the causes I stand for, and they are the heart of my mission.
In my work with VSO in Bangladesh, focusing on women and youth empowerment, I documented stories of women from deprived neighbourhoods, and I also connected with homeless individuals in East London. I’ve come to realise that privilege often hides deeper layers of neglect, trauma, and "othering." Despite outward appearances of success or privilege, many people carry hidden burdens that speak to their own pain and struggle.
It feels like the world needs us now more than ever. These are extraordinary times—where we, as humans, who both destroy and rebuild, have the opportunity to make a pivotal choice: to turn things around or tip the scales further towards imbalance. My work is about healing, self-discovery, and empowerment, not just for the individual but for the collective.

My path and my mentors
I’ve had the privilege of learning from many teachers and mentors, ranging from peers to elders, and from humans to more-than-humans. One of the most significant influences in my life has been working alongside Mac Macartney. Together, we co-lead Embercombe’s flagship programmes, design new courses, give talks, and, most importantly, I’ve had the invaluable experience of being mentored by him.
Initially, I coordinated events for Mac’s Kith and Kin Mentorship programme, but now, I am an active participant as I sit in various working groups. This ongoing involvement allows me to deepen my understanding of the core teachings and find ways to bridge different worlds.
